Currencies

No, iGames has no integrations for Web3 or NFTs and has no future plans to do so. iGames does have stored currency in the form of gCoins which would be similar to any other games (including Heroes of Newerth 'gold coins') that are purchased using real world money.

iGames also has a Fiat Wallet that is named such to differentiate the ability to withdraw those funds from that Wallet. Players and Creators would use this wallet for Marketplace transactions (in and out), tournament winnings and creator activities.

Creator activities include making games that earn revenue (selling their game or microtransactions) and providing/producing art assets & other contributions to projects.

The Fiat Wallet is used for Markplace transactions (where players can buy and sell items from games made with iGames) as well as getting paid for creator activities. Those activities involve making games and creating & selling art assets or providing custom contributions to projects (games).

gCoins are a virtual currency used for purchasing games and in-game microtransactions.

Key Features of gCoins:

  • Fixed Value – The value of gCoins is set at $0.02 USD per gCoin.
  • Platform-Wide ScopegCoins can be used across all games and certain platform activities.
  • Purchase-Only Currency – Unlike Tickets, gCoins cannot be earned through gameplay and must be purchased.

  • Multiple Payment Options – Users can purchase gCoins using 130+ payment methods or their Fiat Wallet balance.

  • Convertible to USDgCoins can be exchanged for real currency, allowing for monetization.

This system provides a seamless way for players to access premium content while giving developers a way to earn money from their projects.

Tickets are game-specific currencies designed to support unique in-game economies. Each game defines its own Ticket system to facilitate transactions and rewards within its ecosystem.

Key Features of Tickets:
  • Game-Specific Management – Tickets are created and managed by individual games. For example, Heroes of Newerth: Reborn could have "HoN Tickets".

  • Flexible Implementation – Game creators have full control over how Tickets are earned and used.

    • Some games may reward Tickets through in-game quests.

    • Others may distribute them simply for playing.

    • A mix of both or other creative earning methods can also be used.

  • Redeemable Rewards – Players can use Tickets to unlock in-game content or any other game rewards the game developer associates with this flexible currency.

Tickets can only be used in their specific game. This system offers developers the freedom to design engaging in-game economies that enhance player experiences.

gCoins and Tickets differ significantly in their scope, value, use case, and control.
